The KotN crew is dropped into the hyper-surreal sci-fi fantasy world of Numenera for the first time. In a far future where nothing is as it seems any technology or super advanced scientific effect appears to be like magic. After being freed from the salt mines under the oasis city of Sanctuary in the cold desert the players have to try to find their way through a web of incomprehensible environments, intrigue and powers where even they can sometimes be problems that need to be solved.
